This medication is used in men who do not make enough of a natural substance called testosterone. Nausea, vomiting, skin color changes, ankle swelling, increased sexual interest, increased frequency/duration of erections, oily skin, and acne may occur. Pain and redness at the injection site may also occur. Less common side effects may include trouble sleeping, increased sweating, and headaches. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects when it is used at normal doses. This is not a complete list of possible side effects.
